STEP EIGHT: At the bottom of the receipt, add some
album information and credits, using the same font, but
this time center-aligned. I’ve obtained the information
about the album from the label’s website. You can do
the same for your chosen album.
Next, we’ll add a barcode to give it that extra receipt
feel. For this you can use any barcode unless you can
find the barcode for your chosen album from a CD or
photo. Save the barcode and then place it below the
album details. If your barcode background is white you
can just change the blend mode to Multiply near the
top left of the Layers panel.

STEP NINE: The last piece of art to add is the band name
and album name at the top of the receipt. We’ll use a
different font for this. We’re using Futura Bold but you can
use any similar font you have on your system or maybe
download a font that your particular band uses.
Type out the band name at the top of the receipt, and
set its Size to 28 pt. Make the text white, then click on
the Add a Layer Style icon at the bottom of the Layers
panel, and choose Stroke. Click on the Color swatch to
open the Color Picker, and set it to a blue color (#000099).
Click OK to close the Color Picker. Set the Size to 2 px,
the Position to Outside, and the Blend Mode to Multiply.
Click OK to apply the layer style.
Then, add the name of the album below the name of
the band in Futura Bold at around 11 pts, using the same
color that you used for the stroke.

STEP 10: Lastly, click on the top type layer in the Layers
panel, and then Shift-click the bottom layer to select all
the type layers. Press Command-G (PC: Ctrl-G) to place
them in a layer group. Double-click the name of the group
and rename it “TYPE.” Change the blend mode of the
group to Multiply to allow some of the creases to push
through the text.

And that’s how quickly you can have a cool, alternative
way of making art with things you love! n
