Quick Slideshow: This
new feature does what
it says. In any collection
of photos (Folder or
Album), go to the Quick
Slideshow option in the
Window menu. Choose
your slide time (3, 5, 10
seconds, or Manual)
and your transition type
(fade or none). From the
same menu, run the
slideshow, or use the
shortcut Shift-Option-F
(PC: Shift-Alt-F) to begin.
Hit Escape to exit.
HOW DOES PHOTO RAW 2021 COMPARE
TO LIGHTROOM OR PHOTOSHOP?
Photo RAW is pitched as a competitor to Lightroom
while offering a lot of the features in Photoshop. It has
layers and masks, including an AI-based Quick Mask. It
revolves around just two parts: Browse and Edit. Browse
literally uses a browser to search your drives. You can edit
a single photo, or choose to catalog a folder. To collect
images together, use Albums, similar to Collections in
Lightroom. Browse isn’t available when used as a plug-in,
but mentioned for completeness.
Advantages over Lightroom Classic: Layers, Portrait AI,
Focus Mask, and Focus Blending.Advantages over Photoshop: Presets/Effects and file
management. As with most plug-ins, it’s the one-click
nature of the presets that saves time, making this
application really useful. As an image finisher, the Effects
