Custom PC
custompc.raspberrypi.org
Ourformer sister magazine,Custom PC,
is nowownedbythecompany behind
the Raspberry Pi mini PC. Not only has it
relaunched the publication, but the
website also has a new home.Atthe time
of writing, therewasn’t much in theway
ofcontent aside from afew articles from
the magazine and an opportunityto
subscribe or buy acopy. But, if other
Raspberry Pi-affiliated websites are
anythingtogoby, wecanexpect a lot of
contenttobe posted regularly and, since
each piece can be shared on social
media andcommented on, it should
attract acommittedcommunity.

The Wives of

Westminster

http://www.thewivesofwestminster.com
The Wives ofWestminster is arather odd
new blog, launchedbyNevena Bridgen,
who is marriedtotheConservative MP
AndrewBridgen. It looks great and is
packed with posts emboldened with
eye-catching headlines and photos. But
given that manywomen are MPs in their
own right, the premise andcontentfeel
a tadregressive – the Oh My God!
section,for instance,looksataccessories
and home décor.Still, it’s easyto
navigateandyou can sign uptoan email
newsletterfor updates on the latest
posts, and share articles on social media.

Barnard Castle
http://www.barnardcastle.org.uk
Barnard Castle is a small markettown in
County Durham with big ambitions.By
creating awebsite aimedattourists, it
hopestobetter open itselftotheworld
and it does sobyconcentrating onkey
attractions accompaniedbyimpressive
photographs both old and new.The site
displaysa potted history of thetown
with linkstothevariousvenues and a list
of nearbyattractions.The major problem
is navigation: there is no menu soyou
havetokeep scrolling up and downto
find whatyou need. On the plus side,
however, there’s anexcellent free app,
offering photos and an audiowalk.
