Use Chrome extensions in your Android browser

iwi is afast, Chromium-based mobile browser with
some amazingfeatures – it blocks adverts and
notifications,tostop them ruiningyour browsing, and
protects against cryptocurrency hackers hijackingyour

device.But thereal drawcomes with the
browser’s latestupdate: the abilitytoadd
and use full Chromeextensions onyour
phone, whicheven Chrome doesn’t allow.

Beforeyou canstart addingextensionstoKiwi,you must
set the browsertosupport them. In the address bar, type
chrome://extensions.^1 This is whereyou’ll be able
tomanage anyextensionsyou later install, searchyour
collectionbyclicking the magnifying glass^2 and visit the
ChromeWeb Store.

Atthetop of the page is aswitch marked ‘Developer
mode’.^1 Switch thistoOntoreveal three developer-
specific actionsfor extensions:Load, ‘Packextension’
and Update.^2 Tap the three-line menu button.^3 Atthe
bottom of the sidebar, press Open KiwiWeb Store.

Onceyou’re in the
familiar-looking
ChromeWeb Store,
searchfor your browser
tools. Kiwi supports any
extension that doesn’t use
x86 architecture – don’t
worry, despite the
restriction,you’restill
spoiledfor choice.Onyour
chosenextension, click‘Add
toChrome’^1 and, when
prompted, accept any
permissionsbytapping
OK.^2

With theextension
installed, it’s timeto
check itworks. Don’t
click the Open button^1
after downloading – instead,
tap the three-dot iconto
open the Settings menu,
then scrolltothe bottom
toaccesseach installed
extension.^2 Tap the icon,
not thewords, tostart it up.

Tomanage orremove
yourextensions, tap
the three-dot icon^1
and select Extensions, or
visit chrome://extensions.
As with Chrome,you can
choosetoturn off the
extension using thetoggle
button,^2 see details about
thetool^3 orremoveit from
Kiwi.^4 Onceyou click
Remove, you’re askedto
confirmyour choice.Tap OK
