justhowI’dalwayswantedmyhairtobe
everytimeI hadit cutshort!
“Iusedtohavea widow’speakbutmy
hairstillhashugecowlicks.AndthenI was
goingthrougha horriblestagewhereI was
sweatingallthetime,andmyscalpwould
sweataswell,soI’dstylemyhairandit
wouldjustgoallfrizzy.

wheneverI washavinga badhairday,”
shesmiles,addingthatherfriendsand

companiesnametheirwigs,”sheexplains.Thebeautyofhavingnumerous
hairpieces,saysSue,isthatshecan
usethemastheultimateaccessory- justasMoiradoes.
“ThedayI washmyhair,I wear
my‘biohair’,aswecallit,”shesmiles,
“andthenextdayI makea decision
whetherI cangetawaywithit for
anotherday,andthen the third day,
on goes a wig.”
“Eachday,having30,it’slikedeciding
whichpairofshoestowear,really.”
SueacknowledgesthatevenwithMoira
asthepostergirlforwigsasaccessories,
goingthroughhairlosscanbeconfronting
andembarrassingforwomen– something
sheiskeentochangeourattitudetowards.
“Thatisoneofthebigthingsforladies
withwigs,especiallytheoneswhoare
wearingthembecausethey’velosttheir
hair– toactuallypluckupcouragetowear
theirwigout,”shesays.
Andwhileshelovesthevarietythewigs
addtoherlife,Sueacknowledgesthatsome
ofhercollectionrequiremoreconfidence
topulloffthanothers.
“ItdoesdependonwhatI’mwearing,
whattheweather’slikeandwhoI think
I mightbumpinto,”shelaughs.
“Forinstance,I’vegota lovelyblonde
one– it’sa RaquelWelchwig,andit’s
calledBravetheWave.I loveit,butI think
it’sa bitoverthetopjust to go outto
