be left licking their wounds, a
source close to his ex-wife Lisa
Armstrong revealed to new
that the engagement is the
closure she needed.
“Lisa has moved on,” a source
told new. “People see her as
being bitter and that she’s got the
hang up about it all, but she really
has moved on. It’s sunk in for her
now and she knows there’s no
way back and it’s totally over –
and she’s cool with it. She’s at
peace and finally got closure.
“It was hard for her in the
beginning and she was hurt by it
all. Seeing pictures of Ant and
Anne-Marie together
used to kill her, but
she doesn’t actually
care any more. It
doesn’t hit her like it
used to. In fact,
she’s happier
than ever.”

over the festive period. It came

three years after his split

from Lisa, who he was with

for 18 years and married to

for 12. But despite their

bitter divorce, which was

finalised last April, our

source says the make-up

artist, 44, only wishes

him the best.

“The engagement wasn’t

a shock for Lisa. She thought it

would be the next step and she

was actually surprised they

hadn’t got engaged before now,”

our source continued.

“She thinks Ant is a different

person. He’s not the same Ant

that she knew and was in love

with, it’s someone very different.

The way he treated her killed all

the love she had for

him. They were

together from a really

young age and it’s

like they’re both

different

people now.

“She

wishes them

well and

said it

doesn’t

affect her.

The love she

had for him died a long time ago.

But there is, no doubt, a very small

part of her that it probably did hit

a nerve with. It has to when you’ve

spent that long with someone. But

she looks at him and doesn’t see

the same person any more. She

sees him as a stranger.”

Lisa has since moved on with

new man James Green, who she

was first linked to back in August.

She reportedly met James, 37,

before the first lockdown and

their romance blossomed when

restrictions eased. And along with

her happy love life, Lisa is also

said to be focusing on her work.

“She’s doing really well on

her own. There isn’t a day when

she isn’t working,”

our source said.

“She’s got her

mojo back and her

self-esteem. She’s a

very different girl to the

girl she was at the beginning

of all this.

“Lisa is very happy with her

boyfriend. She says he’s very

supportive of her. Lisa was such

a support for Ant and helped him

through the tough times, and now

it’s her time to be supported.”

But while she’s loved-up with

James, she’s in no rush to settle

down just yet.

“Lisa would love her own

engagement one day, but not at

the minute,” our source said.

“Because she was so hurt,

she’s got that protective wall

around her and she’s mainly

focusing on her work. She’s going

from strength to strength, and

that’s the best revenge.”
