more filtered than I was in my
crazy drinking days. We all said
the other day that when our kids
were little, we could say what
we liked about them because
they were at school and didn’t
even know what Mummy did for
a job. Now they’re all grown up
and say, “Don’t you dare mention
my name!” [Laughs]
You’ve been married for
seven years. What’s
the secret to your
relationship?
Sobriety. More
people should try
it. Lincoln and I
both reached rock
bottom, which
is very different
to being social
drinkers, but I know
a lot of people who
have really great
relationships until
the weekend
comes and it’s
always down
to alcohol.
And what else?
Laughter, which we
wouldn’t have had if
we still drank. We
choose not to go out
that much and just
love each other’s
company. If it
sounds corny,
I don’t really care,
but my marriage is
the cornerstone of
my life. If it’s good,
everything else is good.
He’s my support system,
I fancy him and he’s
the hardest worker in the
entire world. It’s just lovely
to have someone like that.
It must be nice to have silenced
those who doubted whether you’d
last when you got together...
When you meet someone at 6am
in a nightclub in London, not
many people would give that a
good run – but look at us now.
