F
OR the British royal family, Christmas Day has al-
ways been synonymous with Sandringham, Queen
Elizabeth’s rural retreat in Norfolk, where the clan
traditionally gathers to celebrate, thrilling villagers
with their yearly stroll to morning service at St. Mary
Magdalene Church. The royals, of course, had a very
different holiday this time around, with the queen
quarantining at Windsor Palace whilePrince Charlesand
is wife,Camilla, andPrince WilliamandKate Middleton
were on lockdown at their separate country estates. The pan-
emic, however, isn’t the only thing that kept the family apart
his year. Sources tellStarthe continuing feud between the
uchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge made a
merry royal Christmas all but impossible, Covid-19 or no.
Hay There!
Despite her bitter feud
with Camilla, Kate was
all smiles as she posed
with William, George,
Charlotte and Louis at
their country estate,
Anmer Hall, for the
family’s holiday portrait.
Not Amused
During the Queen’s
Christmas address,
only a photo of her
husband, Prince
Philip, was on
display. “Usually
you see the whole
family,” a source
says. “It might
have been her way
of showing her
disapproval of
what’s going on.”
