school teacher from
Chester eld but also a
keen writer and
photographer. It’s a
popular subject but one
that Scott has made his
own by using the trail of
water as a lead-in line,
drawing the eye to the

Shaun is a fan of solo wild
camping and took this
shot during a weekend trip
to Wastwater, in the Lake
District. ‘I headed across
even though I knew there
was going to be 95%
cloud cover,’ he recalls. ‘It
was heavy going, with my
camera kit and two lenses
plus bivy kit, food and
water, but it was all good
fun.’ Despite the cloud the
trip was worth it. The
green tent, lit from the
inside, provides a
foreground counterpoint to
the lake in the distance
and a nice contrast with
the orange of the sky.
