The star of Food Network’s newest
baking competition: Girl Scout cookies!

he Girl Scout cookie program has come a long way since 1917,
when a troop in Muskogee, OK, sold homemade cookies in their
school cafeteria. Today, Girl Scout cookies are an $800 million-per-
year business—they outsell Chips Ahoy! and Milanos combined—and
they’re the subject of a new Food Network competition, too: On Girl Scout
Cookie Championship, challengers bake with the treats, then present
their creations to the public. Host Alyson Hannigan and judges Katie Lee
and Carla Hall are uniquely qualified for the job: They were Girl Scouts
themselves! Turn the page to see what our test kitchen chefs created with
some of their favorite flavors.

Catch Girl Scout Cookie
Championship Mondays at
8 p.m. ET starting February 3.
