hen Nancy Fuller needs a
bunch of carrots or head
of broccoli, she doesn’t go
to the grocery store. She hops in her
convertible and drives down the road
to her neighbor’s farm. Nancy lives in
Hudson, NY, where she’s surrounded
by farms and produce stands. “We all
grew up the same way—our parents
had gardens, and eating what they
grew was just what you did,” she says.
When she gets the bounty home, she
barely has to do anything to it. “I just
make something simple and light,” she
says, like this vegetable and dip platter.
