Sales of yeast were more than 300 percent higher
in March compared with March 2019, according
to Nielsen, and foodnetwork.com saw the biggest
boost in recipe searches for homemade bread,
banana bread and pizza dough. Companies have
also seen spikes in demand for childhood favorites
like Entenmann’s doughnuts, Pop-Tarts, Ritz and
Triscuits. Goldfish sales have jumped 23 percent!9

Motorworks Brewing in Florida and you may just
end up with a new furry friend. The
breweries, which have stayed open
during the outbreak, feature hard-
to-adopt pups on their cans-and
they seem to have started a movement.
Now restaurants are following suit with similar
programs: Just Pizza & Wing Co. in
New York recently teamed up with the
Niagara SPCA to get dogs adopted by
taping their photos to carryout boxes.
