HGTV star Tiffany Brooks’s
favorite spaces have one thing in
common: beautiful blues.

iffany Brooks knows a thing or two about making
a kitchen stylish. The Chicagoan runs her own
interior design firm, plus she has created four
Smart Homes for HGTV and last year’s Fantasy Kitchen
for Food Network. Although Tiffany likes each space
to feel unique, there is a guiding principle she follows
again and again: You can’t go wrong with the color
blue. “Blue, and especially blue and white, work in
any area of a house,” she says. “This combo is one of
the most comfortable palettes I can think of.” Here she
shows off three of her most beloved blue kitchens—
and shares some of her best design tips along the way.

Old and new
To make the newly
constructed space feel
lived in, Tiffany mixed
modern elements
with traditional ones,
like quatrefoil-etched
glass on the cabinets.

Upholstered stools
These bold Bassett seats
complement the wall tiles
without overpowering them.
“I didn’t want the island to be
a patternless black hole. The
stools help,” she says.

Tiffany designed this blue-on-blue
kitchen for the HGTV Smart Home in
Raleigh, NC, incorporating a stunning
hand-painted tile backsplash.
