If you’re anything like me, as well as doing years’ worth
of cupboard sorting, you’ve been taking the opportunity
to plan and dream a little over the past stuck-at-home
weeks, which means... A notebook is (and has been)
essential. This is the one that’s been capturing my
secret plans. It’s A5 with 48 pages, it’s lightweight (easy
to carry when you’re out and about), there are several
designs to choose from and it’s only £5.50 from
thedesignpalette.co.uk.

Are you sitting comfortably?
Every outdoor chair needs a cushion
to make it a proper reading or relaxed
sundowner wine-drinking destination –
and this is my new summer favourite.

This idea is quirky but I love it:
candles that smell of places we’ve
been missing since the end of
March: the cinema, the local pub
and FESTIVALS. I’d call that clever,
slightly mad and good – especially
as profits go to Hospitality Action,
which helps hospitality workers in
need of support.
Scents of Normality candles are
hand-made in soya wax and come
boxed for £45 each (they’re big at
220ml), so they make a special gift for
someone in need of a reminder of good times to come.
Visit earlofeast.com/blogs/journal/scents-of-normality to
order (with 10 per cent off your first order). Even if you don’t
buy anything, you’ll chuckle at the candle descriptions.
