NOTES FROM OUR (VIRTUAL)

The delicious. team may not be in our office test kitchen, but every recipe is still
put through its paces in the food team’s homes and circulated via pictures (while
the rest of us salivate!). Food editor Jen Bedloe shares her favourite new supermarket
buys, gadgets or kit she’s tested, and the useful intel she’s gleaned this month

by halves in Yorkshire, eh?

HOT ON THE SHELVES

The Whatever Pan sounds a bit grumpy
adolescent, but unlike a stroppy teen it’s
pretty handy in the kitchen. I’ve had one
for a couple of months in my WFH test
kitchen and have put it through its
paces on all sorts of dishes that require
a non-stick pan or griddle.
It’s versatile – it comes with a lid
and neatly transfers from hob to oven
to table (just remember those hot
handles!). The pan’s made from cast
aluminium, which is light, sturdy and
reliable, and it washes up like a dream.
Steak and sausages cooked just as
beautifully as sliced courgettes and
potatoes. It comes with an affordable
price tag and a 25-year guarantee.
