Prince™ Constant Volume Priority Flow Control Valves (RD400 Series)

Used in applications where two circuits are to be supplied by a single pump, such as power steering systems. In
operation, the flow of oil supplied to the inlet is divided into two flows - the priority flow and the excess flow. The
priority flow will remain constant with variations in pressure on either the priority or excess flow port and will also
remain nearly constant with variations in the inlet flow. The priority flow will remain constant with variations in

Pressure Compensated Flow Control Valves - Wolverine by Prince™

Pressure compensated flow control valves maintain a constant output flow despite pressure changes on the
controlled flow or excel flow line. They may be used to start/stop or vary the speed of a hydraulic motor. Models
that include a relief are adjustable 1000 psi to 3000 psi. Plugging the excess flow port allows use with pres-
sure-compensated pumps. Max: 3000 PSI.

Maintains constant output flow despite pressure changes on the controlled flow or excess flow line. Rotating
the volume lever adjusts the orifice size from completely closed to wide open. Relief is standard adjustable
range 750 - 3000 PSI. For no relief option order plug below. Max: 3000 PSI.
