EAT YOUR FILL
Even if your visit falls outside
of Shinju Matsuri, there are
plenty of culinary hotspots
to add to a Broome itinerary.

JOHNNY SAUSAGE
Contemporary Italian classics
are the name of the game at
this vibrant eatery, inside the
Mangrove Hotel.
GOOD CARTEL Strong,
smooth coffee and a menu
packed with rib-stickers like
‘eggs bene’ brioche, chilli bowls
and breakfast burritos. Eat in
or drive through past the cool
street murals.
MR SAIGON Excellent
Vietnamese fare – pho,
rice paper rolls, banh mi and
more – served in casual
surrounds, all day long.
ZENZAI Book in advance for
the Japanese omakase menu
at Broome’s finest diner, located
in Cable Beach Club.
COURTHOUSE MARKETS
Tuck in to the multicultural
cuisine on offer at the markets.
Food trucks here span Thai,
Indonesian, Filipino, Indian,
Chinese and more.
THE ZOOKEEPERS STORE
A relaxed atmosphere and tasty
offerings make this a local
hotspot. Among its signature
dishes are a soft-shell crab
burger and prawn and pearl
meat dumplings.
DRAGONFLY This family-run
cafe in the heart of Chinatown has
a fresh, seasonally changing menu.
Order a mango smoothie – it has
a cult-like following.
THE AARLI A charming wine
bar serving up Asian-inspired
bites – think dumplings and
noodles, and curries and
Korean fried chicken –
underneath the boughs of
a large frangipani tree.
