I STILLREMEMBERthefirstdetoxI did,

todooneeveryyear.Thatwas 15 years
agoandI nowdoit annually.Someyears

overindulgein rich,slow-cookedmeals,
anddesserts,andfindanyexcusefor
cheese.ComespringI’mhot,overweight,
myjointsarestiffandinflamed,my
portionsarehugeandI’mlikea bearwith
a veryshort fuse. I know it’s time for me
toreset.
Istartmydetoxona weekend,soI can
restif I’mfeelingtiredandhidewhen
I’mirritable.Mycleansefollowsthe
principlesoftraditionalChinese
medicine.I eliminateanyfoodsthat
aggravatetheliverandcreate
inflammationin thebody– saturatedfats,
friedfood,alcohol,processedfoodsand
sugar.I addbittergreenssuchasrocket,
dandelion,watercressandspinachtomy
