as he can remember:
His grandfather took him to
the Saratoga Race Course for
years when he was growing
up, and he then did the same
with his daughter, Sophie, now- The father-daughter duo
share an obsession with horses
and have attended countless
races together, some with
particularly high stakes:
Bobby bought a Thoroughbred
in 2006 (named Sophie’s Salad,
for his daughter) and has
owned and bred race horses
ever since. Whether they
have a horse in the race this
year or not, Bobby and Sophie
will be sure to catch the
Kentucky Derby on May 2.
We asked the two how they
spend their time in Louisville,
KY, when they’re in town
for the race. Here are their
