The study found that in general, the students
achieved just as good grades if they were
allowed to self-regulate their screen time as
kids, as they did if their screen activity was
closely controlled by their parents. Even more
startlingly, it was discovered that those young
people whose parents explicitly explained to
them that they were restricting tech access
to help them to bolster their academic
performance, actually fared worse at college.
