USING A

When knitting an intricate
pattern such as lace, it’s helpful
to use a contrasting lifeline. To
do this, insert a thin length of
smooth cotton yarn through
all the stitches on your needle,
then carry on knitting without
catching the lifeline. Reposition
it after a correct pattern repeat.
If you make a mistake, simply
remove your needle and unravel
your work, then reinsert your
needle along the lifeline,
following it through the stitches.

Feel close to nature as you don this leaf lattice top with a keyhole detail that you
don’t have to undo to slip it on. With it’s soft boxy shape and almost all-over design, this
comfortable sweater sits well over a plain dress or even just a cami. The pattern uses
easy stitches and is over 16 rows, so make use of stitch markers and a lifeline to
help keep track. A delicate sheen from the bamboo-cotton yarn highlights
the stitches, so block this garment to really show off your lacework!
