STEP 10: THE BOTTOM BUN
Finally, in the Layers panel, click on the bun layer to
make it active, and switch to the Move tool (V). While
holding down the Option (PC: Alt) key, click-and-drag
a duplicate of this shape to the bottom of the stack of
burger components. Then, go to Edit>Transform>Flip
Vertical to rotate it the right way around.

STEP 11: ADJUST THE SHAPES
Now that all of our burger components are built, we can
adjust each one to make it look more “burgery.” We made
the “meat” thicker by clicking on its layer in the Layers
panel to make it active, and then with the Custom Shape
tool still selected, we dragged down the bottom-center
adjustment point.
We then adjusted the order of the items by selecting
each individual layer and using the Move tool. Tip: With
the Move tool selected, you can Command-click (PC:
Ctrl-click) on an item in your document to make that the
active layer. We dragged them so there was no space
between any of the layers, which makes our burger logo
a lot more compact. Here’s our final burger, but I’m sure
we all like our burger ingredients in a different order!

Once you’ve resized and repositioned all the shapes
to make your own burger style, make sure the grid is
turned off and we’ll add some text beneath the burger.

STEP 12: ADD LOGO TEXT
For our logo text, we’re going to use a font called VAG
Rundschrift D Regular from Adobe Fonts, which is included
in your Adobe CC subscription. Go to Type>More from
Adobe Fonts, and when the web page opens, log in with
your Adobe ID, search for the font you want to use, and
then click the Activate Font switch to sync the font with
your Adobe apps.
With the Type tool (T) selected back in Photoshop, go
up to the Options Bar and make the size nice and large

(we’ve gone for 60 pt), and click on the Center Text option.
Click on the darker red in your Burger Swatches group in
the Swatches panel to make that the Foreground color.
Now click in your document and type the words
“ROYAL BURGER” beneath the burger, pressing Return
(PC: Enter) after the word “ROYAL.” If you need to adjust
the leading (space between the two words), select all the
text with the Type tool, hold the Option (PC: Alt) key, and
tap the Up or Down Arrow key on your keyboard. Use
the Move tool to position the type.

STEP 13: CROWNING THE BURGER
We need to add one extra element to our burger to match
our brand. Switch back to the Custom Shape tool, go to
the Custom Shape
Picker, and find the
Crown 4 shape in
the Objects group.
With the Shift
key held down,
click-and-drag out
the crown over the
top bun and set it to
the same red color
as the text. Use
the Move tool to
reposition it in the
center of the bun. If
needed, make any
final adjustments to
the shapes and text.
