STEP 14: SAVING THE FILE
You’re now ready to save your final logo, but before you
do, click the Eye icon next to the Background layer in
the Layers panel to hide it. This will leave transparency
behind the logo and text. You can save it as both a PSD
and Photoshop EPS. You can also go to File>Export>

Paths to Illustrator, which will save it as an Illustrator
file (AI). The EPS and AI formats allow the logo to be
opened in Illustrator for refining.

CREATING A MOCK UP
Let’s make a mock-up of an ad using our logo and
an Adobe Stock image. You can find the image we’re
using by clicking here. Log in with your Adobe ID, and
click Save to Library to download a preview version
of the file to your Libraries panel (Window>Libraries).
Double-click the file in the Libraries panel to open it
in Photoshop. Go to File>Place Embedded, navigate
to your saved PSD logo file, and click Place. Because
you hid the Background layer before you saved it, there
shouldn’t be a white box around the logo. Resize and
position the logo as desired.

And there you have a tasty burger logo, fully editable and
in vector format for use as a logo. Have fun using shapes
in Photoshop to create your own logos. Do some research
and see what kinds of logo styles you can create for your
own brand or ideas. I’m rather hungry all of a sudden! n
