STEP ONE: SYNCHRONIZE LIGHTROOM
CLASSIC WITH LIGHTROOM
The best way to get organized in Lightroom Classic is by
creating collections in the Collections panel to categorize
your photos. Plus, you need to sync your desired collec-
tions with Lightroom (the cloud version) in order to use
Adobe Portfolio. So start by making sure you’re logged
in to your Adobe Creative Cloud account, and then click
on the cloud icon at the top right of Lightroom Classic.
If the button at the bottom of the drop-down menu says
Start Syncing, click it to turn on syncing for your catalog.

STEP TWO: SYNC COLLECTIONS
WITH LIGHTROOM
Now decide which collections you want to sync with
Lightroom in order to put them on your website. In the

Collections panel in Lightroom Classic, you’ll see an empty
box to the left of your collections. When you hover your
cursor over one of those boxes, it will turn into a symbol
that looks a little like a lightning bolt (see image next page).
Click that icon to turn on syncing for that collection. The
lightning icon will remain to indicate that collection is
now synced. Turn on syncing for all the collections that
you want to include in your website. Note: If you create a
new collection in Lightroom Classic, there’s a checkbox
for Sync with Lightroom in the Create Collection dialog
so the collection will automatically sync with Lightroom.

STEP THREE: LAUNCH LIGHTROOM
AND ORGANIZE ALBUMS
Now that you’ve synced your collections in Lightroom
Classic, launch the cloud version of Lightroom on your
