Wedding motifs
I’ve brought lots of different
elements together for this
sampler – there are hearts
and roses to symbolise
love, horsehoes for luck,
rings for eternity, as well
as other classic wedding
motifs and a pretty lacy
border. For a matching card
or just a quicker project,
choose one of the smaller
motifs such as the church,
horseshoes or wedding
car to stitch on its own.
Soft and subtle
For romantic designs like this
one, I always like to keep the
colours quite muted, and the
lines nice and soft. I’ve chosen
a lovely pale pink palette for
this sampler. You’ll also notice
that I have used lots of swirls
and curls, and have steered
away from solid backstitch
outlines, opting for a more
sketched effect instead.
