Stitching this kit
John Clayton’s kits are always popular
with stitchers, and his latest design is
sure to delight. From his Elegance series
of designs, this stunning bride is pausing
for a moment under an arch of beautiful
flowers, before she joins her groom for
their nuptials. The design is worked in
cross stitch and fractionals in the usual
two strands, as well as blended cross
stitches using one strand each of two
different thread colours. Backstitch is
used, but only a tiny amount, for her
eyes and lips – it’s this lack of backstitch
that offers the scene a dreamy feel. The
chart is printed across four A3 sheets of
paper and is a pleasure to follow.
