Executive producer George

Clooney and Hulu recently

premiered the six-episode

series Catch-22. Based on

Joseph Heller’s novel, it’s

the story of John Yossarian

(Christopher Abbott),

a U.S. Army Air Forces

bombardier in World War II

who is stymied at all turns

by military bureaucracy.

Yossarian learns that

avoidance of his military

assignments will result in

a violation of “Catch-22,”

a twisted rule that states a

man is considered insane

if he willingly continues

to fly dangerous combat

missions, but a request to

be removed from duty is

considered evidence of

sanity and therefore makes

him ineligible to be relieved

from duty. The all-star cast

includes Clooney, Abbott,

Kyle Chandler, Hugh Laurie

and Giancarlo Giannini.
