The Independent Food Aid Network (IFAN) supports a
network of over 400 independent food banks in the UK
and advocates on their behalf atanatio nal level. IFAN’s
vision is ofacountry without the need for emergency
food aid where everyone can afford to buy good food.
As aresult of the Covid-19 pandemic, independent food banks have seen
asignificant increase in need for their services. Many people have had to
resort to usingafoodbankfor th efirst time. IFAN is run byasmall core team
while its member organisations reach hundreds of thousands of people.
