A placard or sticker in the engine bay will explain how your serpentine belt is routed over and around the
pulleys at the front of your engine. To change the belt, you need to find and release the belt tensioner to
loosen the belt and create enough slack to remove it. This Dodge uses a pulley on a spring-loaded arm. The
pulley is identified in the sticker, which also shows which way to move it for release. Some vehicles utilize a
long threaded bolt to tighten the belt that must be unscrewed to relieve tension on the belt.
