Nothing kills an engine faster than overheating it. Most engines today are made of aluminum in one way or
another, meaning that either the whole engine is made of it or a major portion is made of it, such as the
cylinder head. Aluminum is unforgiving when it comes to overheating it. One excessive overheating and the
aluminum cracks and warps, gaskets blow, gasket sealing surfaces are lost, and the engine fails. Shutterstock
