Motor Controllers
You need a motor controller so that when you press the gas
pedal (or how ever you control the engine) that your motor
can convert it to the proper voltage and thereby control the
speed of the vehicle.
These devices handle amazing amounts of current, running
up to 2000 amps between the battery and the motor, with
voltages usually above 72 volts, and sometimes as high as
300 volts.
Let’s deal with DC controllers first.
Your selection of a DC controller is dependent on many
factors- how you drive, the size of the motor and the size of
your battery storage.
