FUJIFILM X-E

Over time technology trickles down, but the
X-E4’s tech inheritance has come from the
pro-level X-series cameras in something of
a torrent. Despite being priced to hit the
pockets of amateurs and enthusiasts, this
interchangeable-lensed snapper gets the full-on
26.1 megapixel X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor from its
far more expensive forebears, as well as
lightning-fast autofocus, face and eye tracking,
superior colour-tweaking smarts, and video
shooting from 4K/30p all the way to FHD/240p.
There’s also an obvious aesthetic nod to classic
film cameras in its 32.7mm-thin old-school
casing. This is the perfect antidote to modern
mirrorless devices, which stay chunky for no real
good reason – particularly considering the
extensive list of X-mount lenses ready and
waiting to extend the X-E4’s capabilities.

T3 SAYS: A seriously powerful compact camera.

EARIN A-
£179, earin.com

Earin was the first company to launch true
wireless ear buds back in 2015. So momentous
was Earin’s Kickstarter-backed release of the M-
buds that they’ve been added to the permanent
collection of the Nationalmuseum, Sweden’s
national museum of art and design. It would be
fair to say that Earin’s presence on the world
stage has since been overshadowed by, well,
everyone else, but the smarts of the company’s
third-generation A-3 buds are set to change
that. Earin says these are the smallest buds
around, with an open design that moves a lot of
air. Their size means there’s no distinction
between left and right, and Earin’s patent means
you can just pop them in and they’ll work out
which ear is which. Genius engineering, then,
and all the higher-end specs you might expect.

T3 SAYS: Is it time for Earin to redefine the ear
bud space again?
