they were already certified by Google. This means
there’s no issue with Android security updates or
access to Google apps such as Gmail, Google Play
and YouTube on these phones.

Price and availability
The Honor 20 Pro costs €599 and will go on sale in
July 2019. There is no UK pricing yet, but it could
work out around £579. This means it will have some
very stiff competition, including from the brand-new
OnePlus 7 Pro (see page 26). However, the regular
Honor 20 is €499 and the official UK price is £399.
This could mean that the Pro will actually cost £499,
a significant sum less than the P30, which costs £699,
and the OnePlus 7 Pro (which starts at £629).
There’s another phone which is even more similar
to the 20 Pro: Honor’s own View 20. This launched
back in January and can now be bought – well, the
128GB version – for under £400. The 20 Pro will only
be sold as a 256GB model, and the equivalent View
20 costs £579, so assuming we’re correct on the UK
price of the Honor 20 Pro, there’s every reason to
buy the new phone if you must have 256GB.

Design
Put the 20 Pro next to the View 20 and apart from the
smaller screen – 6.26in versus 6.4in – they both look
the same with a small ‘pin-hole’ camera in the top-left
corner of the screen.
Despite the fact that the 20 Pro isn’t water-
resistant, there’s no headphone jack as you’ll find
