Causes


Doctors don't know what causes the most common type of
Scoliosis (Idiopathic scoliosis), it does appear to involve
hereditary factors because scoliosis tends to fall in families.
Less common types of Scoliosis may be caused by
conditions such as cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy,
birth defects, injuries, or infections of the spine. The
causes of adult scoliosis can that they had a curve as a child
and it has gotten worse over the years or it can be caused
by a new condition that was resulted from either
osteoporosis or degenerative changes in the spine.


Symptoms


Signs of scoliosis include uneven shoulders, one shoulder
blade that looks more prominent than the other, one hip
higher than the other, irregular waist, leaning to one side,
and ribs sticking out on one side. Symptoms of scoliosis in
adults are back pain, bulging or deformity in the back got
shorter in height, shortness of breath or excessive
exhaustion, and fullness of premature stomach sensation
of fullness.
