targets to expedite the punch list and balance finishing
works in the respective sections.
October 2019 was the month of challenges for the entire
team as we had to complete balance 1,500 MT mechanical
erection in this month along with finishing activities
necessary for plant commissioning. Though the reduction
of manpower strength was evident from the first week of
October 2019 due to the upcoming Dussehra and Diwali
festival, several steps were initiated to retain manpower
- advance payments, incentive, food arrangements, etc.
However, manpower could not be retained.
Simultaneously through our reliable sources, we were
able to mobilize around 200 workmen in one week and
around 135 workmen in the next week (a festival week),
taking the total manpower strength of mechanical to
around 400 numbers by end of October 2019 with around
335 manpower mobilized during the festive time.
Meanwhile, M/s Ayoki also increased strength from
380 to 500 numbers summing up the total mechanical
manpower strength at the site to around 900. Mobilization
of each and every team was monitored from the day the
person left his home till he reached and was deployed at
the site. Further additional manpower was mobilized from
other resources directly by DCBL. Each and every assigned
task was closely monitored day and night for which the
DCBL site engineers took a lot of extra efforts and pain,
sacrificing their personal lives.
