We have asked all suppliers to maintain a higher length
of kiln when compared to their standards with a lesser
diameter which shall be of benefit in various ways, as
mentioned below:
• Potential for higher capacity due to higher kiln volume
• Better heat transfer due to higher retention time with
lesser RPM
• Stable kiln operation and improved clinker quality
• Lower velocity inside the kiln would help in reducing
kiln inlet chamber velocity to some extent
• Complete combustion of fuel resulting in zero CO at
kiln inlet
