Project review meeting under the leadership of honourable
MD & CEO of Dalmia Cement, Shri Mahendra Singhi
Ji was held at Holtec office in the month of December
2018 with the participation of Holtec MD to discuss the
engineering progress, critical activities and action plan for
going forward. Shri Singhi Ji reiterated the pride factor of
the project and motivated the team with his presence and
words of encouragement.
On rigorous follow up by project head, Holtec released
approximately 48,000 of RCC drawings and approximately
800 MT structure fabrication drawings till December 2018.
FLSmidth also released about 5,000 MT plate fabrication
drawings during this period. Delivery of equipment also
commenced in the month of December 2018 which was a
great milestone for the project.
FLSmidth awarded different equipment sub-packages to
various vendors across the globe including around 300+
suppliers from India. One of the important initial factors on
which further project progress could be impacted was the
manufacturing and timely delivery of equipment and items
being manufactured at various vendor’s workshops. It was
hence decided to identify all critical and crucial vendors
and to visit them. Priority-wise vendor visits were made
all across India.
Altogether, our team made more than 250+ visits/
revisits to various vendors in a period of approximately five
months. This gave a positive impact and much-needed boost
to the vendors and sub-vendors and they aligned to deliver
Project Pride equipment on priority. They expressed their
