The season at site getting hotter day by day, but the civil
team was determined towards completing the last slab
+139.5 m level of pre-heater building. On 16 May 2019,
pre-heater’s last slab concreting was done, the biggest
achievement of the project as the total pre-heater structure
- approximately 13,300 CuM of quantity with a height of
139.5 m with 8 floors and plan dimensions 35 m x 25 m –
was completed in seven months from RCC start and eight-
and-a-half months from date of ordering, which was a new
world record.
Pre-heater last slab in May 2019Completion of the pre-heater civil job was a great
achievement for the project team and the focus now shifted
to accelerate the mechanical works. Various brainstorming
sessions were conducted by the project head along with the
team to improve the momentum of work.
