with support from HR, admin, safety, and store personnel.
Despite hindrances, the team successfully commissioned
132 kV substation on 27 July 2019 enabling the start of
no-load trials of equipment. The team was targeted for
ramping up for completion of balance erection activities
to start commissioning activities. The next target was to
rotate the kiln on the auxiliary drive and the team took
the challenge and trials were conducted successfully on 6
August 2019. This was a major milestone for the project.
With this milestone, the team was encouraged to complete
the balance jobs with great enthusiasm.
Kiln rotated on 6 August 2019After the kiln trial, a dedicated cross-functional team was
formed for further commissioning activities. After completion
of individual trials of belt conveyors, on 13 September 2019
raw material was taken from box feeder to coal/additive
stockpile and the cold commissioning phase began.
As guided by project head, there were daily review
meetings with the FLSmidth commissioning team in the
evening to update the equipment trials status and next day
