This concept of Three Note on a String Scales revolutionized my understanding of the fretboard of the guitar. It was
born out of a minute long conversation with a guitathe scales in every key using three notes per string.” I went home and from my knowledge of scales andr player friend in college. All I remember is that he said “Play all of keys just

beginning to get comfortable playing in any key eveplaying them. Eventually, I figured out that Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs could be done with these scalesn farther up the neck and I knew what the notes wer creating very e as I was
fluid and fast triplet runs. This scale study openebefore or since, plus it has given me a lot of options for soloing and quick impressive sounding scaled up my understanding of the upper part of the neck like nothing runs that can be
applied to any key. May it do the same for you.
These scales are also found on page 89 of the lessoabove each note to aid you in knowing how to fingern book, but here finger numbers have been added bel each scale. These scales are in the key of F. Play through each ow and
