Here is an example shown in the workshop that illustrates the difference in sound between the use of the 6th
and the flatted 7th. Listen for how the sound changes when the flatted seventh starts being used.


Notice in the last 2 measures the 8va symbol. This means to play that section of music up one octave higher
than written in the music notation. This is a helpful notation so that the player doesn’t have to read so many
ledger lines in a high section of music. The tab staff below it does not need to be transposed. It appears as it
is to be played.
