Sus4 and 7Sus4 long form arpeggios
Illustrated below are Suspended fourth arpeggios. The one on the left is a G suspended 4
th
arpeggio (Gsus4), and the one on the right is a G7sus4, suspended fourth arpeggio. Basically
the 7sus4 is the same, but adds the b7th notes. You can also slide into the fingerings utilizing
your second finger as a pivot. They sound great when played in a descending line over
suspended and 7
th
chords, respectively. Finger the black dot on the root note and practice
these in all keys.
