acrosstheirtabletopswithmarble
fromdierentbackgrounds,theyaim
tocelebratethebeautyofdiversity
andimperfection.‘Eventhoughthis
isoursignaturestyle,’Miaadds,‘we
wanttoexperimentfurtherwith
moretonalcombinationstoshowcase
thebrillianceofsimplicitytoo.’
Theocutstheyusehavebeen
discardedfora varietyofreasons.
Somemaybeconsideredtoosmall,
othersarerejectedduetoa lackof
storagespaceortheinconvenienceof
relocatingthem,andsomehavebeen
vetoedduetoscratches,discolouring
orminorcracks.MarblePartners
seekstoworkaroundtheseapparent
imperfectionsandgiveeachstone
a secondchance.
Lookingtothefuture,Miasays,
‘Wewillconcentrateonoptimising
ourproduction,savingasmuch
marblefromlandll aspossibleand
maybeteachotherstheage-oldcra
ofworkingwithstone.’Constantly
streamliningtheirownproduction,
theyareworkingonwaystousetheir
ownwaste,aswellasdeveloping
environmentallyfriendlypackaging.
Theweightofmarbleisanobvious
obstaclemakingtransportation
dicultso,tocombatthis,their
largertabletopsareassembledin
sections.Theirpassionformarrying
designwithfunctionalityand
sustainabilityisa positiveexampleof
howa circularmindsetcan lead to
state-of-the-art results.

WRAP,amountsto370,000tonnes
inBritaineachyear.Bymixingtea
witha non-toxicbindertocreatea
ceramicformtheydiscoveredthata
rangeofbeautifulcolourscouldbe
achieved.Forexample,Peppermint
gavesubtlegreenhues,whereas
RooibosandEnglishBreakfast
producedwarmer,earthiertones.
