the oorboards by the builders, is tacked

Travelhasbeena majorpartofthe
family’slifeand,unsurprisingly,there
areplentyofremindersthroughoutthe
house:ethnictextilesanddecorative
piecesarejuxtaposedwithmorelocal
nds.Thesplendid19th-centuryglass
chandelierhanginginthehallwaywas
found on a trip to Rajasthan and sits
ABOVETheantiquechandelierhanging
overthestairwellcatchessunlightfromthe
south-facingwindow.BELOWBlack-and-
whiteprintsarea boldadditionto thecalm
anddreamybathroomwithitsdelicateshell
chandelier and painted floorboards.
In thebedroom,Suehascreateda pretty
‘boudoir’feelbycombiningclassicdesigns,
suchasColefaxandFowler’sSnowTree
fabriconthedressingtable,withsimple,
floor-to-ceilingslubsilkcurtains.Anantique
French armoire completes the look.
