Cutout some wave shapes on your card/paper to make a template.``````After a recent trip to Zakynthos and Turtle Island,I just had to make a turtle inspired cake for youall. Cutesea turtle is a take on a standard sea turtlebut using nice bright, bold colours. Iâve used pinksand purples but you can be daring and try variouscombinations. It doesnât have to look realistic,itâs meant to look cute and creative! Lots of thechildren I bake for love under the sea cakes and thisis easy to create and very effective!
CUTESEATURTLE2 Using your airbrush and blue paint, spray along the edge of the waves, overlapping each other randomly.``````4 While the board dries, use yourRKT to make the turtles back bycompressing it in a greased minihemisphere pan (or Pyrex bowl). If youdonât have one, you can mould this byhand, it just needs to be a small dome.``````3 Repeat using green, then hints ofblack and then white airbrush paint.``````Cake artist:Lisa Elliott``````5 Use your palm or a cake smoother toflatten the top of the dome slightly.``````6 Cover using white sugarpaste.Be sure to leave a small triangular tailat the base. When smoothing it, try tomake the end opposite the tail veryslightly narrower so itâs more of an ovalthan a circle.``````7 Using your Dresden tool, start tomake circular indents on the top ofthe shell. â
