Finally, we can directly tell if the corresponding season were more
favorable to batters or pitchers. If the value of indicator is relatively
bigger than other seasons, it signifies that the batters showed greater
performance.
As a result, using R/G value, if a season showed a low value it means that
the pitchers succeeded to get the batters out, so we can call that it was a
year of the pitchers. Likewise, if a season showed high value, batters were
able to win the pitcher and made a hit, so we can call that it was the year
of the hitters.
To analyze if 2020 was the year of pitchers or batters, we needed R/G of
the 2020 season. We also need the R/G value of previous seasons. For
comparison, if we research the R/G value of recent 10 years and observe
where the 2020 season is relatively located, we can know the result. The
information has been organized into a table and line graph with x-value
of season and y-value of R/G.
