Chart 3-2: Home Run Park Factor 2019 II

Based on the formula above, Coors Field was the most hitter-friendly
park. In the opposite, Oracle Park was the best environment for pitchers
in 2019. The values show that it was 28% easier to hit a homer in Coors
Field and it was 32.2% harder in Oracle Park. Mathematically, MLB
hitters could hit 60.2% more homeruns in Coors Field than in Oracle
Park in 2019.

According to MLB, the Rockies only hit 132 homeruns while allowing
144 homeruns in home games in 2019. As stated before, ballparks are
supposed to be made unique to bring advantage to the home team. The
statistics actually showed that Rockies’ hitter-friendly stadium brought
more home-runs to the opponent team than themselves. Unlike the
Rockies, the Yankees, with a second hitter-friendly stadium, were able to
take benefits out of their stadium. In 2019, the Yankees allowed 114
homeruns but hit 143 homeruns back in their home games. Their batters
succeeded in maximizing the advantage of their home stadium and the
best bullpen group in MLB pulled down its home game ERA to 6th
even with its 2nd most hitter-friendly stadium.^16 In light of this, it's not
the most important about which stadium you own, it's to build a team
and ease into their park based on the environment given.
