His August 2 blood test showed further improvement in the alk phos. He
now got his dentalware changed to plastic.
A month later, September 11, his blood test was decidedly worse. It
would be a harbinger of things to come. We must somehow trap him long
enough to sample each of his new dental fillings and test them for copper,
cobalt, vanadium, and the malonate compounds. He had changed his glasses
frames quite early, did get his copper plumbing changed, and said he was
“doing everything.” His WBC showed that bacteria were on the rise; glucose
(208) continued to drop showing improved diabetes; ALT showed a liver
toxin was up; [LDH showed tumor activation by Sudan Black B dye;] GGT
showed more liver toxicity; alk phos implied that lung tumor remnants were
shrinking.
But trapping Herve was no small challenge especially now that life was
being handed back to him.
Summary: We saw him again a few months later; he was still his devil-
may-care self. It is tempting to think his negligence somehow benefited him.
We hope so. As for ourselves; we would rather choose diligence. Yet, there
are lessons to be learned from even the most contrary approach.
