The final highlights were added

using the pure white pastel, which

just gives the painting that lift and

sparkle

and pastel, 111/2 3 151/2in (30 3 40cm).
Last but not least, the finishing
touches. With a dark blue and green
pastel I strengthened up the tree area
in the foreground. With a light blue
pastel I moulded some lighter areas
into the clouds – and it was finished
