The idealistic twenty-something Ross
Ulbricht (Nick Robinson) creates Silk Road,
the Internet’s first unregulated marketplace.
However, after it is used to sell multimillion
dollars’ worth of illicit drugs, the FBI and DEA
agent Rick Bowden (Jason Clarke) seeks to
track down Ulbricht.

    Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht.

  2. This movie lacks opening credits, with
    its title not appearing on-screen until the
    end credits.

  3. Tiller Russell is credited as the film’s director
    and screenwriter.

  4. The script is, however, based on David
    Kushner’s Rolling Stone article “Dead End
    on Silk Road”.

  5. The Rotten Tomatoes’ critics’ consensus
    says that the film “draws intriguing parallels
    between its oppositional main characters, but
    doesn’t do quite enough to develop the story
    surrounding them.”
